Delays in Production of EAD’s and Green Cards

USCIS recently cut production of Employment Authorization Documents (EAD’s) and Green Cards after its contract ended with a third-party printing company. It has been reported that as many as 50,000 green cards and 75,000 work permits have not been printed. USCIS planned to manage the production of these documents in-house, but that its ability to do so is limited due to budgetary constraints. As a result, expect delays in issuance of these documents after receipt of notice of approval.
